Author Agreement and Copyright License
To ensure the proper distribution and protection of scholarly work, the Journal of Islamic Humanities and Social Inquiry (JIHSI) requires the corresponding author to sign this agreement on behalf of all co-authors upon the acceptance of a manuscript.
License Grant
In consideration of the publication of the manuscript in JIHSI, the authors grant the journal a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to:
• Publish, reproduce, distribute, and display the work in digital and/or print formats.
• Translate the work into other languages (if applicable) for broader scholarly reach.
• Authorize third-party aggregators and indexing services (such as Scopus, DOAJ, and EBSCO) to include the work in their databases.
Copyright Retention
In accordance with JIHSI’s Open Access Policy, authors retain full copyright of their work without any restrictions. Authors are free to:
• Post the "Version of Record" (the final published PDF) on their personal websites or institutional repositories immediately upon publication.
• Reuse the work in future books, chapters, or teaching materials without needing further permission from JIHSI, provided the original publication in JIHSI is properly cited.
Open Access Licensing (CC-BY 4.0)
The authors agree that the work will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY 4.0) license. This license allows others to copy, redistribute, remix, and build upon the work for any purpose, including commercial use, as long as appropriate credit is given to the original authors and JIHSI.
Author Warranties and Integrity
The authors warrant and represent that:
• The manuscript is an original work and has not been previously published elsewhere in any form.
• The manuscript is not currently under consideration by any other journal.
• The work does not contain any libellous, unlawful, or plagiarized material.
• All listed authors meet the ICMJE criteria for authorship and have approved the final version of the manuscript.
• Any potential Conflicts of Interest and all sources of funding have been explicitly disclosed.
Disclaimer and Indemnity
The authors agree to indemnify JIHSI and its Editorial Board against any claims or expenses arising from a breach of the warranties mentioned above. JIHSI makes no guarantees regarding the impact factor or specific indexing status of the journal, although it strives for the highest standards of quality
