Publication Frequency

The Journal of Islamic Humanities and Social Inquiry (JIHSI) is a peer-reviewed academic journal committed to the timely dissemination of high-quality research. To maintain rigorous editorial standards while ensuring a consistent flow of scholarly communication, JIHSI adheres to the following publication schedule:

1. Frequency of Issues
JIHSI is published bi-annually (twice a year). This semi-annual frequency allows the editorial board and reviewers sufficient time to conduct thorough peer reviews and ensure that every article meets our high standards for interdisciplinary Islamic humanities and social inquiry.

2. Publication Months
The regular issues of JIHSI are officially released in:
•    Issue 1: June
•    Issue 2: December

3. Commitment to Punctuality
In accordance with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, JIHSI is committed to maintaining its publication schedule. Our editorial workflow is designed to manage submissions efficiently, from initial screening and double-blind peer review to final production, ensuring that each issue is published by the end of its respective month.

4. Continuous Publication and Special Issues
•    Advance Articles: Accepted manuscripts that have completed the layout process but are awaiting their assigned issue may be published online as "Article in Press" or "Online First" to provide early access to the findings. 
•    Special Issues: JIHSI may occasionally publish special issues or thematic collections that focus on specific, emerging topics within Islamic humanities or social sciences. These issues undergo the same rigorous double-blind peer review as regular submissions and will be announced clearly on the journal’s website.
